what did balto the dog do?

balto and togo There a town called nome Town since 1925 faced a

deadly epidemic called Nome located in Alaska.

Diphtheria disease is the disease that infected that

town and doctors began treating those infected with this disease but.

And there were not many options available in order to save them from the inevitable death which was

hanging over them so he came to their rescue in the end many teams of dog sledges.

These the dogs which still the inhabitants of this small town celebrate one of them to this day.

In the month of January of that fateful year the therapists and doctors in

a sleeping town began witnessing symptoms of diphtheria disease among some of

the townspeople which caused great concern as it was during In

the year 1921 that is four years ago this infectious disease which caused

nose and throat bleeding led to the death of more than 15,000 American citizens.

And with regard to the case of the town of nome alaska the only treatment was

the antitoxin blood serum located about 750 kilometers away in a town

known as Anchorage and with the addition of almost no means of transportation to this mixture.

Dangerous formed by a deadly diphtheria epidemic and a violent

nome alaska temperature it will seem to you death and doom the inevitable fate of Nome Town.

At this time there was a terrible lack of means of transportation which could have made it easier for

the population to travel and bring necessary medicine but unfortunately

there was no transportation to perform For

this purpose snowstorms did not allow planes to deliver medicine.

However a team of dog sled

drivers Like seppala siberian who were trained showed their willingness to try to save the inhabitants of Sleep

from this inevitable death and after that many teams joined

this endeavor successively And they prepared their resources and

equipment and prepared to cross that vast distance between

the town of Nom and the medicine the Savior for its inhabitants which is located in

the town of Anchorage in a sequential race known as Race.

The Great Race of Mercy or a race in 1925 to

deliver blood serum to the remote village of Nom.

It was connecting between these two towns a single road

with a length of 1046 km that passes through

the harsh wilds of alaska which made an estimate of

the duration of the delivery of medicine to sleep that may take about

The month which is a very long period in relation to

the urgent situation that the town is facing.

Steps to deliver the drug serum to the village of Nom.

However the division of the journey in multiple sequential stages may

take less time and from it the great race began on the twenty-seventh of

January 1925 with a driver dog sledges Shannon  Nicknamed Wild Bil

Shannon received the serum from the city station Nenana where he

was transported from Anchorage by train then set

off and his team of  strong dogs through

the temperature of 50 degrees Celsius in the direction of sleep.

Shannon succeeded in delivering the serum and delivering it to the

next team although he lost four of his dogs as he turned his nose into a

dark black puppy Bites frost that exposed her during

the length of the arduous journey.

Many of the teams of dog sleds moved this serum in

turn before it finally reached the team Leonhard Sabella.

He was Sabella a Norwegian sled driver one of the inhabitants of the

town Sleep and he had imported a team of Husky dogs from Siberia for towing.

The sledge in delivering the serum during a distance is the journey

which is guaranteed and is the most difficult stage of it.

Twelve-year-old togo dog leads a husky team of seppala siberian dogs in a sled.

During this historic trip which took place in the year 1925

the dog togo led a team Sibala over a distance of 270 kilometers during deadly temperatures that reached 65.

nome alaska temperature degrees Celsius during Large areas of frozen

lakes and climbing mountains Little McKinley 1524 meters high.

Travel this team up to its arrival at the driver team skates Charlie Olson

who in turn delivers to Gunnar Kazan, who in turn instructs him to complete a mission

The remaining 88 kilometers of the journey towards the desperate Nome town.

With Kazen we meet the dog Balto the hero of this epic story who

accepted this serum delivery race no one expected

that a black and white husky might go down in history.

Be balto dog slow moving and were drivers sled dogs avoiding,

instructing task driving herd dogs to dog slow moving on like Balto.

However this had changed in the winter of 1925 when Kazen chose

Balto to lead the team and deliver the serum to the residents of Nom

City an endeavor in which the team eventually succeeded.

Eventually Kazen and his team of dogs delivered the vaccine to Dr.

Welch in Nome on February 2 of the same year just six days after the start of this great relay race.

Of the thousand kilometers that 20 sledge drivers and about 150 dogs

traveled Kazen and his dog Balto ran only during

the remaining and last 88 kilometers, but this does not mean that balto did not deserve

the praise he received in one of the Journey stages Kazen encounters a

blizzard in which neither he nor any of his dogs can see

anything at all but Balto nonetheless leads them through

the raging storm never deviating from his path.

Eventually Balto drove his team to the town eagerly awaiting their arrival.

Celebrating the dogs of Balto from the city of Nome.

Balto was immediately celebrated by the people of Nome and almost all

praised for delivering the serum to them perhaps because his furry face

was the first to enter that tense town.

  •  The name balto has become a popular name in almost every
  •  bedroom and the city of New York honored him with a memorial statue
  •  bearing his features dedicated to him to commemorate his memory in
  •  Central Park on Manhattan Island a year after his return with the serum.

In 1995 Universal Pictures released an animated children's balto movie

film that featured Balto's epic journey adding to his cherished legacy.

 How did Balto die

Balto died in 1933 at the age of 14 and his body which can still be seen

has been preserved at the Museum of Natural History in Cleveland Ohio.
